I have taken on 3 new projects this month. WOW!!!! I am writing this blog at the end of a season in my life that I am most excited to be exiting! I graduate college tomorrow. It has been an extreamly long time coming (10.5 years) but something I am most proud to have achieved!
So, as I graduate, I begin to quilt almost full-time! With the husband in Kuwait, I have time on my hands to be cerative, something I have not had time to really enjoy in the past 2 years.
Babies seem to be everywhere around me. I have friends who are having babies right and left! I get to bless these families with handmade baby quilts. How exciting! This passion was set off by my need to make the husband a gift to keep with him in Kuwait/ Iraq and to be wrapped in love. But it has become more than that. I am not a "master quilter" by any means! But I am so thankful to be doing something I love and something that I have become very passionate about. I am so blessed that the Lord has given me this gift and the creativity to design and create my own patterns. As I grow and learn in this art, I am so thankful that I can share this with friends and family!
In the month to come I will post pictures of 2 baby quilts I am making and a special quilt that I am in the middle of creating. However, this quilt will not have pictures posted until the recipient has seen the top and knows about it. I dont want to ruin the suprise!
For now, I will spend time with my family as I prepare for graduation and the most wonderful time of the year.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
